Project Development

The greatest opportunities are discovered and nurtured through expertise. Our Project Development group can be found in regional offices, embedded in projects, and assigned to major projects or operating units. This group works collaboratively with our businesses to develop early concepts on projects around the world. This group maintains expertise in project facilities planning, process design, offsites and utilities and safety relief.

Development Plannning

Development Planning roles focus on opportunity evaluation, development concept selection, and profitability analysis in the early stages of pursuing an opportunity. As custodians of ExxonMobil’s Upstream opportunity management framework, they drive integration of global technical, commercial and project expertise. This multidisciplinary team evaluates options and risks for optimizing subsurface resource recovery, and selects a final development option. Additionally, commercial/profitability analysis skills are required to build, run, and maintain the economic models for all stewarded opportunities.

Project Management

Project Management is a multi-disciplinary team of engineers that partners with industry-leading contractors to manage projects around the globe, from pre-feed to hand over to operations. This group has a unique technical skill set focused on design and engineering management, contracting and execution planning, cost & schedule estimating, quality management, construction management and site safety to support and achieve project objectives.
